So, that's pretty much the post I wrote earlier this week for today. Since then, it seems some have taken notice of the GQ article, or more likely, Mr. Richardson's photographs of the cast (and poor Mr. Monteith may as well have been a hat rack as we - jokingly - treated him above for all the notice anyone is taking of his presence next to Ms. Agron and Michele). First, The Parent's Television Council had a hissy, but so did some parents of younger Glee fans.

Before all this, I hadn't really expected anyone to say all that much beside, 'Hot!' ..and maybe way too much makeup.
Dianna Agron and Lea Michele are both 24 years old, and Cory Monteith is 28 (hell, he's a bit older than me and he's playing a high school student? Meh, welcome to TV. Remind you of anyone else older who did the same not long ago?). And, have any of the critics, including the parents of those very young fans actually watched the show with those children? I wouldn't say those are all Disney-G-rated stories, nor did they ever pretend they were. TV Guide reported Dianna Agron's take on it from her blog:

'I understand that in today's world of advanced technology, the internet, our kids can be subject to very adult material at the click of a button,' she wrote. 'But there are parental locks, and ways to get around this.'

'If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?'

Singer Katy Perry graces the cover of the August 2010 Rolling Stone Magazine, maybe drawing attention to her new Teenage Dream single and album, as if she needed any help. More importantly, drawing more attention to how great she looks in lingerie- not for the first time, and hopefully not for the last. Original photography by Mark Seliger, lingerie by Eres.

Amazing: Heidi Klum's Back (So's Her Front) In Germany's GQ

A week for VSMs (Very Sexy Moms), apparently. Gisle Bundchen returned to the lingerie catwalk, and Heidi Klum graces the July-August 2010 issue of GQ Germany.



Read the interview with Ms. Klum here, and do let me know what it says, since I don't speak German. I'm guessing it's something along the lines of 'please don't hate me because I can get back into shape like this after yet another baby'?

Catching Up On Reading: Miranda Kerr - June 2010 GQ

Australia's Miranda Kerr returns to the scene of the crime.. OK, to GQ Magazine, which probably cost some poor guy his job the last time she undressed for them.



For the record, Ms. Kerr mentions she 'just felt sorry for the poor guy.'



Hopefully he's able to enjoy the new photos in the June 2010 issue (her lovely air-cooled bra and panties by Vicky's, of course) and photos by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Brooklyn Decker - Want To Bet?

Poor girl needs help with her strings. And her bowling, apparently. She lost a bet to her husband, Andy Roddick, and she and his coach's wife ended up on an evening on the town in outfits picked out for them. To wit:

You know, I could think of some rather interesting bets for my girlfriend and I to try, though I don't know if this would be the result. But you have to give her points on a sense of humor.

Apologies if you had already heard the story: it's one I'd been meaning to post, and when I was quoting Ms. Decker's twitter feed for our Adriana Lima post earlier this week, it reminded me it was past time to get to this one.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Girl Bar Refaeli - Don't Forget She Does Lingerie, Too

True, it's a great honor for a model to be on the cover of The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. 2009's choice is Israeli beauty Bar Refaeli. (Hey, look; she obviously didn't get any tan lines during the shoot..)



While the above cover of Ms. Refaeli barely contained and peeling her bikini bottoms down is more than a little striking, let's recall a basic fact. A swimsuit is meant to be seen in public. Maybe you won't see her or anyone looking close to her at your local pool or beach anytime soon, but it's still, if barely, apparel for public consumption. Lingerie on the other hand, is, despite some relatively recent fashion trends, by nature intimate. Think of it as meant for private consumption, then.
Seeing Ms. Refaeli or anyone else undressed as such is then a more intimate experience. Or, just go with the 'Forbidden Fruit' idea. One of the reasons this is a lingerie blog, and not a 'hot swimsuit' blog. Not that there's anything wrong with that idea; it's just, given the choice, we'll continue to celebrate the fact that Ms. Refaeli and others look fantastic in their underwear and aren't shy about demonstrating that fact.

fufL Bonus Post: Eliza Dushku - A Doll In Lingerie

I was going to include a message with a plug for Eliza Dushku's new Joss Whedon-produced series Dollhouse at the end of Friday's Valentines Week post, but, happily, events intervened allowing for a full-blown post. A quick Google image search of 'Eliza Dushku lingerie' proves that there just are not enough photos of the lovely Ms. Dushku in her undies. To promote Dollhouse, she's partially remedied that by posing in the a striking black bra and panty set in the March 2009 issue of Maxim.

Several things you need to know:
1> Not the most important among them: I've been crushing on Ms. Dushku since she showed up as Faith on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. (My only other, still-original and still crush since I was 8 is Heather Locklear, and my girlfriend has given me her full permission to run off with either of them should they ever become mentally unbalanced and decide to pick some un-famous guy totally at random and have their way with him.)

2> This show is from Joss Whedon. Hello? Buffy?, Angel? Firefly?

3> Angel's Fred, Amy Acker, is also in it.

3> It's on Friday nights on FOX 9 Eastern/8 Central

4> Which means the network will probably screw everyone from Whedon, Ms. Dushku and millions of fans of the show by pre-empting it, moving it all over the schedule, then canceling it by saying 'no one' watched it, UNLESS we all tune in this and every damn week. So far, they've filmed about seven episodes. Want more? WATCH.
Hey, it's sandwiched between Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on FOX and Battlestar Galactica's last six episodes on Sci-Fi; could it be any easier?

Update: Like the lingerie Ms. Dushku is wearing in the article? As much as I can relate to why, don't expect to get much helpful information about it. Follow down the rabbit hole as the fine blog A Slip of a Girl tries valiantly to get the goods. I could see the company reps telling me to take a hike, but she obviously has done some pretty serious and detailed coverage of lingerie lines. But hey, maybe to some, we're all 'just those crazy bloggers on the interwebs-thingy'..

When Does A Tie Count As Lingerie?

When it's all Jennifer Aniston is wearing, as she barely isn't on the cover of the January 2009 edition of the U.S. GQ, we'll let it slide. Besides, she is wearing some mens' CK underwear inside the issue:





In the text, she's yakking about some ex and his current squeeze, and the more important photos are by Michael Thompson.




'Hold that pose.. juuuuust a little longer.. you, on the Ms. Aniston's left, can you hold you arm a little higher against her breast?' What do you suppose these guys paid to be allowed into this gig?
