Esquire + Sarah Shahi + Me In My Place = Inspired

Last week we told you about Sarah Shahi's new USA TV series Fairly Legal. We wondered if we'd be seeing a new lingerie photo shoot anytime soon. Wonder no further, but do wonder about a great collaboration between Esquire magazine and the obviously-talented photographer behind a site we've had the pleasure of writing about before, Me In My Place



Apparently, knowing a good thing when they see it, Esquire's asked Me In My Place to provide them with regular contributions



That's good news, but the original good news is the photography of 'Real girls in their own place. Not too crazy and just a pinch of naughty...' that's been the site's hallmark since it started just last year. You can enjoy the results of the non-famous-but-no-less-lovely ladies at Me In My Space and some of those ladies' missives on the site's twitter feed as well.

Minka Kelly: Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive 2010

Actress Minka Kelly grabs this year's honors from Esquire Magazine, and strips to various states of undress for their November 2010 issue.



Stripping may be in some way genetic for Ms. Kelly; in the interview with Ryan D'Agostino, she talks about her Mom's days stripping, late-night supermarket shopping after work with her as a kid, *not* getting cosmetic surgery causing her to be fired from a clerical job by an (un-named)Playboy centerfold, and ending up on Friday Night Lights.

Daisy Lowe in Esquire: She Gets Down, We Get The Low-Down on Her Lingerie

Model Daisy Lowe shows some lingerie moves (and in some instances more skin than we feature in fufL) in the July 2010 issue of the U.K. edition of Esquire Magazine. In the layout photographed by Greg Williams, she also shows off an impressive mish-mash of lingerie as in the above instance:
Her green lace bra is by Stella McCartney, her red 'knickers' by Agent Provocateur, the Babyloo mesh polka-dot bodysuit is by Fifi Chachnil, and her thigh-high blue socks are from Falke. Talk about your Joy of Sox. OK, you can get that idea from the cover, as well:

Catching Up On Reading: Kate Beckinsale Is Equire's Sexist Woman Alive

Ms. Beckinsale has been down to her bra and panties (or less) in Esquire before, but they're now making official what many already believed.





Whiteout may have already faded to black at the box office, but she has an ensemble comedy, Everbody's Fine due in December, and another chapter in the Underworld series possibly on the way in 2011. No matter what they do on their opening weekends, if it means Kate Beckinsale in another of her Underwear Series, we're all for them.

Weeds' Mary-Louise Parker In Lingerie Makes Esquire High

I don't smoke - anything, and I don't get Showtime, so I haven't seen Mary-Louise Parker in the show Weeds, but I'm getting the munchies to check it out if this is her typical wardrobe..



If not, Esquire magazine was very persuasive for their August 2009 issue in talking Ms. Parker down her panties to.. make them a pie?

By now, is there anyone who doesn't know J.J. Abrams' reboot of the Star Trek franchise is opening in a good part of the world this weekend? (fufL even told you about it as far back as November 2007).

Among the cast, and perhaps of most interest to this blog, of course, is Zoe Saldana starring as Nyota Uhura, who may not be a lieutenant in the new movie's time frame, but she'll certainly have a bit more to do than open hailing frequencies. Not that Nichelle Nichols didn't do that quite well in the original TV series, but I always liked the fact she got to kick a little Mr. Adventure ass in the movies. Speaking of Ms. Nichols, we pause this post, with no disrespect meant for Ms. Saldana for this photo:



Damn.

Onward, and back to Ms. Saldana:



True, these images from an Esquire shot she did awhile back aren't lingerie-only, but we'll enjoy them just the same..




The new cast are signed for two sequels, so Ms. Saldana can be prepared to put on - and, perhaps, take off her Starfleet uniform for awhile longer. Not that she's a stranger to uniforms, or all things Trek; witness a moment of her performance in the Tom Hanks movie The Terminal..
