Michelle Trachtenberg In March Maxim

You many know her as Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl. Or you may remember her as Buffy's little sister Dawn Summers on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Through if you do, you probably wouldn't remember Michelle Trachtenberg as you see her in the March 2011 issue of Maxim. (of course, if you're about the same age as Ms. Trachtenberg, maybe you wanted to remember Dawn this way..)



Ms. Trachtenberg's also in the movie Take Me Home Tonight with Topher Grace and Anna Faris, opening March 4th in the U.S.

'It’s exciting. I know that everyone at my high school who used to torture me and bully me is going to get a copy of it, so I am thrilled. That is going to be really exciting ..I was rather flat-chested in high school, so I was picked on all the time. I think I have made up for it. Maybe a bit late, but they’re here now.'

Esquire + Sarah Shahi + Me In My Place = Inspired

Last week we told you about Sarah Shahi's new USA TV series Fairly Legal. We wondered if we'd be seeing a new lingerie photo shoot anytime soon. Wonder no further, but do wonder about a great collaboration between Esquire magazine and the obviously-talented photographer behind a site we've had the pleasure of writing about before, Me In My Place



Apparently, knowing a good thing when they see it, Esquire's asked Me In My Place to provide them with regular contributions



That's good news, but the original good news is the photography of 'Real girls in their own place. Not too crazy and just a pinch of naughty...' that's been the site's hallmark since it started just last year. You can enjoy the results of the non-famous-but-no-less-lovely ladies at Me In My Space and some of those ladies' missives on the site's twitter feed as well.

This one is no secret, but it's a Victorian-inspired series of Christmas collections more people ought to know about. They're called Christmas Crackers, Christmas Baubles, Red Xmas and Key to Deliverance, from the highly imaginative Dutch designer Marlies Dekkers



Not only do you get a touch of the Victorian, but if you look at the entire collection, a sly bit of the Dickensian also emerges.

Look up in the sky-- Er, down in the bed.. uh, on the floor? OK, so who needs a phone booth to change into Superman these days? Which is good, considering much like the scene in the Christopher Reeve version, if you find one, it's likely not to have a booth with it. (Where I live, there's one payphone downtown, which is constantly vandalized).



I've mentioned the amount of lingerie and underwear finding its way into Halloween costumes theses day before, so why not just cut to the chase and combine the two? For the record, my girlfriend wouldn't dare go out like this, but after looking over this post did offer the opinion that I may just find something as superlative under her costume when we get home after the usual Halloween rounds this year. I say super, woman!



So, if you're not already going Gaga (as in Lady) or Flo, as we covered last year, think if it as Underoos for adults.
