Lady Gaga's Halloween Costume Was...

When it comes to her goofy getups, everyday can be like Halloween for Lady Gaga.

But for the annual Halloween holiday, the singer, 24, Tweeted that she was "going to be...a little monster." And she didn't let fans down.

Of course, her Disney villain costume wasn't complete without a few accessories: She kept a fake gun in her coat and had fake blood plastered over her chest. She also sported a black-and-white wig and oversize sunglasses.

Happy Halloween 2010

Look up in the sky-- Er, down in the bed.. uh, on the floor? OK, so who needs a phone booth to change into Superman these days? Which is good, considering much like the scene in the Christopher Reeve version, if you find one, it's likely not to have a booth with it. (Where I live, there's one payphone downtown, which is constantly vandalized).



I've mentioned the amount of lingerie and underwear finding its way into Halloween costumes theses day before, so why not just cut to the chase and combine the two? For the record, my girlfriend wouldn't dare go out like this, but after looking over this post did offer the opinion that I may just find something as superlative under her costume when we get home after the usual Halloween rounds this year. I say super, woman!



So, if you're not already going Gaga (as in Lady) or Flo, as we covered last year, think if it as Underoos for adults.

Happy Halloween From.. Your Insurance Agent?

In the past, we've documented the most popular Halloween costumes in our happy little college community, and the perennial favorite for women (and, unfortunately, many men) has been some lingerie-infused version of a nurse. Not this year. I keep hearing plans, and in some cases what can be taken as threats, mainly by girls, to go as an agent. No, not this agent, which would make some sense:



An Insurance Agent of sorts. No, not Erin Esurance,



though we've seen a few of her wandering around in past years..



This Insurance Agent:



That's correct, Flo, from the Progressive ads. One or two girls (or guys) telling people they're planning to go with the Flo isn't a trend. Ten or fifteen people independently mentioning it in passing to either myself, my girlfriend or another friend is a borderline trend, just disturbing, or both. Not that Flo isn't, in essence, a costume. Stephanie Courtney, the actress/comedian who plays her goes through a two hour make-up job for the commercials.



If the local interpretation of a nurse is any indication, I'm guessing the Flo costumes will keep the wig, makeup, apron and a big, tricked-out name tag, but not a hell of a lot else from the real Flo's attire; most probably replaced by white bras, hot pants or boy shorts and stockings.

You may (or may not -Rule 34) be surprised to learn, much as has happened with Erin, there's now a growing amount of non-G-rated imagery devoted to Flo floating around the net. Some, having them co-starring. To be clear: to each their own, but it's times like this I don't feel like being a 25-year old straight male is too old to be writing a lingerie blog.

Speaking of which: if you really want to see a costume suggestion of an Agent for Halloween, if it's going to involve lingerie, why not go to a master, and pick one from Agent Provocateur?

Last year, fufL explained that the Nurse costume was quite popular for adults in our college town. From what I'm hearing and seeing so far, it still will be tonight- and this year, while cold, won't be the ice box of some Halloween nights past. That, coupled with the more difficult economic times, and the move toward the simpler attempts (read: cheaper) to evoke a idea, and you have the stripped-down (if you will) version of a Halloween nurse, as demonstrated very nicely above by Yoko Matsugane.

And, don't think that some similar adult nurse costumes worn tonight won't be as sparse - or less - by night's end. Trick or treat indeed..

True, most of the biggest Halloween parties were last weekend, but today is the official holiday in the U.S. I live in a college town, and even though my girlfriend and I have both graduated, we still are included in some of the Halloween party fun on and around the campus. Which means we got to see The Most Popular (or, Over-used) Costume for the second year in a row: The Nurse!



Of course, Most people who dressed up had a decidedly lower neckline than any real nurses we'd ever seen..



Nice try.. lower..



You're getting warmer.. (you're getting warmer?)



Muuuuuch more like it. Of course, a lot of them had skirts so short, you could just about read the label on their panties..



And since their skirts were that short, you pretty much saw their asses hanging out..



Well, that's a good approximation.. of course, it was so damned windy this year - and last, I'm surprised no one lost those tiny little costumes.



Yeah.. um.. like that.. Umm.. just relax a minute, OK, and I'll finish this post..

Now, truth be told, there really *was* a lot of bras and cleavage on display.. and damn short skirts resulting in to-hell-with-visible-panty-lines; there were visible panties. How these people put up with it being as cold and windy as it was, especially last year when it was 20 degrees with a wind chill below zero, I honestly don't know. Did many of the 'nurses' look like Japanese AV Idol Nina Minami? No. Did any skirts or dresses go flying down the street? No. Don't tell her that, though.

Just as well.. about half the people dressed up as nurses were male, anyway (!)
