Blue Monday 8 2 10 - And A Reminder

Since one great site recently came back on-line, let's see if using one of the Bilkoscans photos can get us another.. worth a shot, isn't it? The lady above wonderfully encased in lingerie from Ellure. By the way, not to take anything away from her or the lingerie, but does that bra not seem custom-made for her?

Another by-the-way: Heads up that the Christmas of the lingerie and underwear world is coming this Thursday.. OK, at least Christmas-In-August? It'll be the 8th Annual National Underwear Day! (Want to win free underwear? Click here to enter) Do prepare by planning to wear something special. From someone special, if you can manage it. My girlfriend and I recently did a week's vacation on the road, including much shopping for that-which-will-be-celebrated. We got each other packages of something special that we will not open until Thursday morning while getting dressed for work. Or, if our schedules permit, we may open them in each others' presence Wednesday evening.. meaning we'll probably both be calling in late to work Thursday morning..

Bilkcoscans and Caitlin Manley

I was recently going through the fufL archives (over 15,000 images and counting) and realized A> It's been some time since I've posted anything from late, lamented and fantastic Bilkoscans and 2> from one of the more, in my opinion, under-rated models, Caitlin Manley. Hopefully, Ms. Manley in this striking pink bra and panties set from Bare Necessities can start the compensation.



I went through my Bilkoscans folder and cherry-picked a number of selections I'll try to feature in the coming weeks and months. The hard part wasn't finding good ones to use; it was leaving any behind.

Where Is Bilkoscans?

As of this post's date, if you go to www.bilkoscans.co.uk, you end up at mobile provider www.orange.co.uk. To those who've contacted frankufotos Lingerie or posted elsewhere asking, I'm sorry to say I don't have an answer for you.



Here's what I posted in answer to one comment asking for information: I was hoping for some positive news before I posted anything, but I guess if it will be coming, it won't be anytime soon. I'd checked Bilko's site near the end of August (I think) and it was gone. His photobucket accounts as well. I don't know him well, except as a fan, but I sent an email. So far, it's gone unanswered.



If he doesn't mind my sharing a response, if I hear anything, I'll post it. Obviously, the net's loss. As with another late, lamented site, I'm leaving the link up in hopes he'll return someday.

Mighty White Of Her

Next time you or someone you know starts thinking that plain, white, unadorned bras and panties can't really be all that hot, please reference the above picture of this beautiful blonde removing that sweater as the last vestige of anything that isn't underwear. Imagine you've watched the above disrobing. Now, tell me you'd be all that disappointed. Also, feel free to forward this post to anyone else who may need convincing.

Lingerie: Plain or Fancy?

Writing on STLtoday.com, St. Louis Post Dispatch Fashion columnist Debra Bass wonders, Do men and women agree on sexy lingerie?



Here's the comment I left:

My girlfriend and I are both very much into underwear and lingerie (so to speak).

She’s been building and extensive lingerie collection, and I probably have a larger collection of mens underwear than most guys. Reading over the responses, the one about lingerie ‘establishing that sex is on the table’ never really occurred to me. I guess if a particular woman rarely wears it, that might be the case, though.

I’ve long had a theory that it’s not necessarily the lingerie that makes the girl ’sexy’; it’s The Girl that makes the lingerie sexy. My girlfriend can make a plain white cotton set sexier than something from Vicky’s, though she says she feels better on days she has something special on under whatever clothes she’s wearing, even if no one else will see it.

As far as a man fearing being called a pig for buying something trashy; unless she wants something ‘trashy’, it’s best not to buy her something like that. My suggestion: shop together for something for her. If she feels like she’s got an unattractive, uncomfortable costume on, I can’t imagine it does much for her mood, nor should you expect it to. There’s an early seen in the Melanie Griffith/Harrison Ford movie ‘Working Girl’ that shows exactly what I mean. I’d guess not so funny in real life.

It turns out a Monday bluer than usual. Her lingerie is by Bon'a parte; the scan from the fantastic folks at Bilkoscans. Be prepared for a shock when you click that link - it appears those behind the site are ( say it isn't so! ) calling it quits. I'd been meaning to do another post about them for awhile because A) It's been just a great site, and B) I'd been wanting to thank them for the link they added for frankufotos Lingerie and the great number of hits that this blog got for that reason alone. True, there is a link to their Photobucket archives, but who knows how long it'll exist? Enjoy their work while you can. We'll feature some again in the future, certainly, but all lingerie officiandos owe them a great deal of thanks and admiration for their contributions to the web.

Remember The Lingerie In Catalogs?

I mean the ones before Victoria's Secret.
The ones you found as a kid.
A far better a sex education than National Geographic.

There's an entire site called Bilkoscans that has some very high-quality scans of some outstanding pictures, obviously done with care and class.
I've seen the site's work crop up in quite a few places on the web. As of this writing it seems to be gone. It would be a shame if it were gone for good. Check the link occasionally, and see what comes up.
