2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Part 2

Some more observations in random order..



Anne Vyalitsyna (Anne V)

My girlfriend and I both expected to like the PINK and Heavenly Bodies segment best, but we actually liked the Country Girls sets second to PINK. Her, especially any with blue denim, like Lindsay Ellingson below, or paisley like Anne V above.



Now we're sort of jonesing to find her a bunch of gingham, paisley or denim panties, maybe with matching bras, like Lindsay's or even Maryna Linchuk's below.



And the blue boots. Not that she has any place to wear them (well, I can think of one place..), but my girlfriend wants those boots. OK, that entire costume. Did I mention she likes wearing Blue lingerie?



And, costume is the correct term. One very valid critique of Vicky's shows that seems rightfully louder each year is, who could actually wear anything seen in the shows? That's addressed in a great post by Treacle on her The Lingerie Addict blog (BTW, if by the off chance you're not reading it regularly, you should). Then again, I forgive the excesses since the show is selling fantasy entertainment - and in turn tons of knickers - but that's kind of their point. Think of it this way: it's a one-hour infomercial no one can say they really suffer through.

So, what could work as actual lingerie, and not just a costume?





How about this bra and panties set Candice Swanepoel wore during the Heavenly Bodies segment? Lose the Angel wings, and she's set. Or keep the wings and lose the bra and panties, and it's somebody's really strange dream sequence, but that's for a very different blog..



Neither of us were all that familiar with Martha Streck before her appearance on the runway, but afterward, we heart her, too. She even tweeted everyone a backstage pic:



Who Wore It Better? In this case the It being an orange bra?



Within minutes of each other, Karolina Kurkova or Adriana Lima?



I'm not sure what superhero Ms. Lima is supposed to be ('Soccer Mom'?) but I'll watch for the movie, 3-D or not..





Alessandra Ambrosio on why ruffle-butt panties can still be cute and hott at the same time - and not to be out-done:



Magdalena Frackowiak, proving even Akon can have a thankless job. That's him. To her right. On the stage. Oh, hadn't noticed him either, huh?



How about a front-flash from Lily Aldridge? They are trying to sell the panties, after all..



If you missed the show or just want to see it again, you're in luck. It'll be shown again this coming Wednesday, December 8th 8 ET on the CW. 8pm? Obviously not on ABC..

I realize some people think the show jumped the shark long ago, but some of us look at it as a lot of fun (especially when they spend a little more time talking with the models as they did this year). Karolina Kurkova Joins the Very Sexy Moms

Second in a series this week (collect them all!) is Karolina Kurkova who became a VSM aka Very Sexy Mom when she and her fiance, film producer Archie Drury welcomed son Tobin Jack Drury October 29th.



So, in her well-deserved absence, relive a few memories of Vicky's Fashion Shows Past.

The 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Maybe it was a change in venue to the newly refurbished Fontainbleau Hotel on Miami Beach, but The 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show just seemed more colorful and energized than in past years. Not that there was anything wrong with those shows, but at about the half-way point during the Pink portion of the show, my girlfriend and I expressed the same thought to each other: this year was just damn fun. It had been right from when Adriana Lima started it off along with Usher. And, despite the expresssion on his face, I don't think he was seriously worried that Heidi Klum would get too far with his hat.



Speaking of Ms. Klum, yes, Alessandra Amrbosio is the recipient of this year's Honorary HK Yes-I-Just-Had-A-Baby-A-Few-Months-Ago-And-I-Look-Smoking-Hot Trophy





Selita Ebanks truly working her Angels wings as well as the runway; Karolina Kurkova illustrating that lingerie is, indeed, something which can be unbuckled..



In the aforementioned Pink portion of the program, Erin Heatherton somehow managed to incorporate fun, hottness, a great green bra, and the fourth Doctor Who's scarf.

Angels Selita Ebanks, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima take some well-deserved bows at show's end. You may say, "What? That's all?? Where's (fill in the name of your favorite model not mentioned), Frank U idiot? This is the third year of fufL, and this was perhaps the hardest post-Show post to write, because, with 35 models - and over 400 pictures I collected, narrowed to 72, then to 30, then to what you see here, the question becomes, what can you possibly leave out? I could go on writing it until 6am, and you'll already get carpal tunnel scrolling though it as is. I write the post after my girlfriend and I watch the show in real time and compare notes (no, she will not add anything to any blog posts, though she knows she has a standing offer). The upside of so many more pictures, models and outfits we didn't get to? Future fufL posts. And, as always, your comments are welcomed.
