When you think you have regrets for the past, get an update on what is hanging round today, it is the quickest way I know to find thankfulness for who you have become. On checking up on my MySpace site, I run across the cutest pictures of half grown young folks, I know they are half grown, because that is the time when their parents instruction, to keep your tongue in your mouth no longer means anything! You see, these kids think they know what love and being grown up is, they think for some unknown reason, that the tongue tells everyone how great a lover they are and how successful they are at satisfying the needs of the opposite sex! Holy schomoligans, if it were only that easy, we would run around like panting dogs, our tongues hanging out all the time!No, love is much deeper than a few years of sexy body, great lookin tongue and bikini behinds! Being grown up is not always all it is cracked up to be, but by golly lets give them something to look forward to! If some of your regrets, include not spending time being involved in family life enough, to let these kids know how much they mean to you, now may be the time to turn this misnomer around! You cannot make the choices for them that will be necessary to see them reach success in this life, but by golly you can certainly have a great influence in where their choices take them. Spending quality time, I know this overused word is almost a joke, people think it means hauling them around to soccer or whatever, but I am talking about looking them in the eye and seeing what their interests are and becoming involved with their daily routines.When you care more about them than they do, they will feel your love and desire for their success. Helping your children to realize how temporary the teenage (sometimes stretching into the twenties or thirties) years are, is a success in itself.One should not expect to be perfect at this the first time around, but one can expect to show these young people that there is more to life than a fleeting sex drive, that will leave you empty in later years, if that is all your success in life is based upon!What you believe is what others will see in you and your behavior. If you believe your family is the most important asset you have, then they will receive and react accordingly.If you are too busy to know what they put on their MySpace, you might want to think again about what they will find important, as you set the pace for their interests. Of course it is important to feel the urges that cause you to grow into a man or woman of desirable looks, feelings and attitudes, but likewise it takes much more than a long tongue and screwey looking pictures to be a man or woman on content!For anyone who has placed more than two funny looking or tongue hanging out pictures on your MySpace in the last year, I hope this encourages you to get over the silly idea that somehow sticking your tongue out and implying that you are an with knowledge of how to satisfy every woman in the world.
